Just over a week ago I was delighted to return to the Allergy & Free From show in London. Since I’ve been threatening for ages that I’ll start doing more videos, here’s my video summary of the event. Sorry I sound a bit snotty, I picked up a cold on the plane back so it’s taken me almost a week to be able to speak properly again!
If you don’t feel like looking at my snotty face for 13 minutes, here’s a little summary of this year’s show:

Photo taken on the Friday, when the crowds had died down!
They used a bigger venue than last year, which resulted in wider aisles, and far FAR less congestion. They have done a great job listening to feedback on this.
There was such a wide variety of things on offer – like a wonderland for gluten-free people!
The giant gluten-free companies were out in force, taking over large parts of the hall. Obviously this is a commercial event but it was sad that the bigger players had such an advantage over the smaller producers. Although despite the money they threw at the events, the smaller producers were the ones with the passion, drive and the better products!

Products like Isabel’s, of course 😉
Some great brands/products that I encountered:
Green’s Gluten Free Beer – particularly loved their blonde beer and the pale ale! I really want to find a way to get this sold in Holland.
1-2-3 Gluten Free – amazing cake mixes – some of the best cake I’ve ever had (honest!)
Bob’s Red Mill – I was lucky enough to join Bob himself (!) and the team for dinner one night, and very pleased to get my hands on a copy of “People Before Profit” (which I will be reviewing later).
Kabuto Noodles – instant pot noodles that are made from rice, so gluten-free.
Optibac Probiotics – kind of pricey (around £22 for a month’s supply), but I couldn’t resist the buy one get one free offer at the show. I’ve noticed a difference in my gut already.
Sole-Mates insoles – life savers for those with flat feet (i.e. me)
Celia Lager – more delicious beer
Sorry I forgot to mention in the video:
Little Turban curry sauces – absolutely divine!
Bfree – I’m sorry I couldn’t take your delicious wraps and bagels home with me!
Rio: A Taste of Brazil sauces – Alba was helping out on Isabel’s stand as well and her Brazilian cooking sauces are bursting with flavor, review definitely coming soon!!!
Anyone who’s sent me samples over the years to try – I really appreciate you enabling me to continue reviewing gluten-free products on my site, and I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to say hi to all of you!
Other summaries
And if you want a more detailed run down of some of the products available, I can highly recommend Vicky’s (The Free From Fairy) video summary of the event here.
As I said to you already; you really should do more video’s! You are so calm when you talk to the camera. It’s really nice to look at.
I hope we get the 1-2-3 cakes here in Holland. With a good price. As they sell Bob red mill stuff for 8 euro’s, for me personally, thats way to much for a cake or bread mix.
